Materials

  • 1 Keyring (I used a D loop keyring with lobster clasp)
  • 4 x 160cm 3mm cotton cord
  • 1 x 80cm 3mm cotton cord
  • Scissors
  • Optional brush to straighten tassel (Any brush is suitable)

MACRAME KNOTS

  • Larks Head Knot
  • Square Knot
  • Alternating Square Knots
  • Double Half Hitch Knot
  • Cumulative Double Half Hitch Knot

TIPS

Remove slack when you tighten your square knots so it looks neat.

Double half hitch tightly and as closely together by pushing them up with you fingers, that way you won’t have any gaps.

Spray or dip tassel in water after unravelling to get an extra straight brush. Give you tassel a pamper and you’ll get great results!

A beautifully designed macrame keychain with alternating squares that is quick and easy to make.
