Easy DIY Macrame Hanging Shelf Tutorial

Bring a touch a nature indoors with the beautiful warmth of real wood by making yourself a real wood slice hanging shelf. Ever since I started making these, I have been in love with them! The natural beauty of a real wood log slice holding some lush green indoor plants in the corner of your living room is the perfect boho home decor addition.

I will be taking you through a series of different types of macrame hanging shelves as they are wonderful as a space saving idea in your home and there are many different ways to hang them. This one suspends from the ceiling but don’t worry if you are someone who can’t get your head around how to get hooks in your ceiling or are worried about how to hang it. There are other ways to make macrame shelves that can simple hang from nails on a wall or even those (really) strong wall hook stick ons.
